Our mission at Joe Carlson Elementary School is to guide all students in the development of essential lifelong learning skills, social and personal attitudes, and individual health, to insure their ability to succeed and follow their dreams now, and in the future. We are committed to providing all students the opportunity to become responsible, productive individuals in their community and society.

Lighting the Way to Quality Learning

On behalf of the school staff and myself, we would like to welcome you to Joe Carlson Elementary School. We are looking forward to working closely with your child/children and you in a concerted effort to make this school year a most successful and productive educational experience. 

Our goal for this year is to provide students with the educational environment to acquire and apply basic academic and technological skills, to become adaptable, successful, creative and responsible members of the community. In order to fulfill this goal, parental involvement and participation is an essential component of our school structure.  This can be achieved by your volunteering in classrooms, reading to children, serving on the site council or school committees and/or sharing your expertise and talents with our students.
